MELODY DIACHUN is a vocalist, songwriter, arranger, and a warm performer praised for her “soulful confidence, exquisite intonation, phrasing, and sense of time.”-All About Jazz. With five albums as leader, Melody is an increasingly significant artist with her own sound, style, and approach to creating new music.
At the age of 19, Adrian moved to New York City to study classical composition, jazz piano, and improvisation. He later furthered his studies of jazz and audio production at the Berklee College of Music, in Boston, MA. In 1999, he travelled to Zimbabwe, where he spent 6 months writing a thesis on improvisation in traditional Shona music.
Harkening back to a simpler time, the MMB’s create a collaborative soundscape infused with tongue in cheek wit, playfulness, and nostalgia. With a mix of catchy originals and contemporary songs reimagined in driving swing, the band’s performance delivers as both classic and fresh, offering a generous variety of sweaty jazz numbers, velvety love songs, and swingin’ jump-blues.
Even in the quietest moments, Marin is fiery and alluring, a wild woman of the woods or urban sophisticate. Her songs, like her presence, are as passionate and beautiful as they are dark and raw. They weave in and out of Americana, deftly defying simple classification, landing beside the likes of Margo Timmins (Cowboy Junkies), Joni Mitchell, and hinting at the raucous sides of Neil Young and Jeff Buckley.
The Paper Kites are an Australian indie rock/folk rock band from Melbourne, Victoria. The band was formed in 2009 by lead vocalist/guitarist Sam Bentley and keyboardist/guitarist Christina Lacy. To date, the band has released five studio albums and four EPs.
FONTINE is here with a brand new EP. Co-produced with Kris Ulrich and mixed by Boy Golden, the Yarrow Lover EP is set to be released in 2023. Shook Twins is a folk music group originally from Sandpoint, Idaho and currently based in Portland, Oregon, formed in 2004. The nucleus of the band consists of identical twin sisters Katelyn and Laurie Shook.
BADBADNOTGOOD is a Canadian instrumental band and production team from Toronto, Canada. The group was founded in 2010 by bassist Chester Hansen, keyboardist Matthew Tavares, and drummer Alexander Sowinski. In 2016, they were joined by frequent collaborator Leland Whitty.
